Staff365 are actively seeking an experienced Shift Manager professional for our client located in Rotherham.We are keen to speak to candidates with a background in either; manufacturing, production or the FMGC sector.You must have a proven track record in either of these sectors and an up to date Cv to be considered for this position.The role;The Shift Manager has a key role in the assistance of the planning, coordination and overall control of the factory. They will ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time according to sales demand and to the correct level of quality.The Shift Manager is responsible for all factory staff on their shift, however they will be expected to work closely with managers of other departments and team leaders to ensure all employees are working safely and in accordance with company standards.Responsibilities of the Job;Responsible and accountable for all employees health and safety performance, and develop a work environment that encourages compliance with safety and employment regulations.Reporting all productivity and issues to the Production Manager on a daily basis.Responsible and accountable that all departments are working to production plans and targets, monitoring this on a daily basis.Planning and delegation of task to the work force.Addressing and resolving customer complaints and enquiries.To identify any cost-effective measures for improving production.Addressing and resolving of all quality and raw material issues.Conduct appraisals and safety tours with the health and safety manager.Report/investigate all accidents and dangerous (including violent) occurrences.Reporting of maintenance and training needs.Driving shift performance and team engagement to improve production standards.Problem solving and ensuring that any issues are rectified and downtime is minimised.To liaise with the maintenance manager to ensure maintenance of all machinery and equipment is carried out to keep it in good working order and maintained in accordance to H&S standards.Ensure all records are maintained and recorded as required.Key Attributes;Strong organisational skills.Experience of working in fast moving / high volume environment.Good Communication skills written and verbal.Ability to work shifts in a 24/7 environment.People Management experience.Basic computer skills, excel, word, e-mails etc.Ability to visualise and plan future production needs.Maintain Control when Under Pressure...... click apply for full job details
