Senior Night Care Assistant
Our client, a warm and welcoming care home which is a family-run business, requires an experienced senior healthcare assistant to join its friendly and dedicated team. Our client is passionate about helping residents to enjoy a fulfilling and meaningful life.
Responsibilities:
• To effectively manage and lead your team, across your community ensuring that they act according to the home's policies and procedures and are consistently ethical in their approach to care
• To provide leadership, support, and guidance to new or junior staff
• To direct your team to provide dignified, personal care at the required level in areas of bathing, washing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene and sanitary requirements and ensuring all personal interventions are planned and recorded within the individual plan of care
• Helping in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations
• To provide personal oversight across all care documentation on a daily basis, ensuring accurate records are maintained and that entries are being recorded, and taking necessary steps to ensure all staff are compliant and efficient in their duties of care
Requirements for this role:
• Kind and compassionate nature
•A minimum of five years' experience in long term care for older people, preferably experience caring for individuals with dementia in a care home / nursing home
• Self motivated, organised, flexible
• Ability to use your initiative and experience in working well under pressure
