Due to recent growth, we are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Team Leader to join our Hereford Factory.

The hours for this role are Monday - Thursday 20:45 - 05:15 and Friday 16:45 - 01:15.

Purpose of the role:

As a Hygiene Team Leader, you will support the Hygiene Manager in ensuring the Hygiene Teams are operating in a safe manner at all time.

You'll be a Key Player in the Technical Department, effectively supervising all hygiene activities and providing guidance and training to the departmental hygiene operatives as well as policing all housekeeping and hygiene across the site.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading the Hygiene Team, including induction, training and developing of all staff, including new starters.
Ensuring the Hygiene Team maintains good customer facing skills and adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.
Working closely with other Process Leaders and providing cover where necessary.
Maintaining and developing the hygiene system operating within the factory, maintaining safe systems and keeping in line with current legislation.
Ensuring systems and files are in place and maintained, along with customer requirements for hygiene practices at site, to satisfy all audit.
Ensuring good housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the plant and reporting all non-conformances to the Hygiene Manager - monitoring and reporting the corrective actions and preventing re-occurences.
Ensuring all hygiene chemicals are secured at all times and that the COSHH register is correctly maintained.
Assisting the Hygiene Manager with the budgets associated with your area of control. What we are looking for:

Relevant NVQ at Level 2, Functional skills English and Maths Entry Level 3
Food Hygiene certification
Proven production experience, in Hygiene, with an understanding of quality requirements and a fast moving process
Understanding of computerised systems
Ability to form good working relationships with all staff and managers
Ability to be able to co-ordinate, assess and train new and existing team members
