Do you have Android Development experience and are confident coding in Kotlin?
Our client who is based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds is looking to recruit a strong Android Developer. The successful candidate will be joining a growing team of enthusiastic and talented individuals. Our client is focused on pioneering embedded development and mobile applications for consumers increasing their portfolio of software projects and applications. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with embedded devices.

Responsibilities:

* Writing high quality reusable, testable and maintainable Java code for Android.

* Debugging, diagnosing and fixing software related problems in developing and existing applications, and conducting code reviews.

* Following the software development lifecycle and software development practices of the company.

Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years of experience as an Android Developer

* Firm grasp of Android application lifecycle from coding to deployment

* Proficient ???at writing Android applications using Java

* Understanding of JSON, REST APIs, SQL (SQLite and/or ORMs), Source Control (Git)

* Data structures, algorithms and software design knowledge

* Excellent English and communication skills

* Javascript and/or use of Webviews in Android

* Experience working with Jira and Bitbucket

* Firebase such as cloud messaging, crash reporting, analytics and performance monitoring.

* Experience in writing unit-tests / automated-tests for Android
