Senior Test Analyst - Automation
Selby

Drax Group is playing a vital role in helping change the way energy is generated, supplied, and used. Generating 11% of the UK's renewable energy supply, we are committed to enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future.

We are looking for a Senior Test Analyst specialising in Automation Testing to join our strong IT function. You will join a dedicated testing team, supporting both 3rd party and in-house developed systems across all parts of the Drax business.

Last year began our quest to automate our test packs using C# along with Selenium and Soap UI. As an experienced automation specialist, you will be responsible for leading the growth of these and other automation packs across our large estate, enabling consistent, efficient, qualitative delivery into our production areas identifying defects swiftly for in-house developers and 3rd party suppliers.

You will need a positive, proactive attitude as the role will involve mentoring and coaching our wider testing team taking them on the journey with you. You will lead discussions with test analysts and other IT stakeholders to understand and deliver an automation roadmap covering all applications across our estate. You will refine our automation test strategies and promote best practice across the team.

You will define test conditions and design test environments for whole-life cycle testing, creating test scripts and artefacts for both your own use and our stakeholders. This role will involve supporting in excess of 200 systems with a user base of 2000+ colleagues. Your expertise and recommendations will have a real impact on the future of system delivery within our business.

You will have strong experience building Automation frameworks using C#. Specifically, this will include the development of automated tests using page object framework, automating Back End databases/APIs, and running data driven testing. Strong SQL skills are essential, and a familiarity with Azure DevOps would be ideal.

We offer a range of great benefits including minimum 25 days' annual leave, up to 10% pension contribution, private medical insurance, life assurance and income protection. Our inclusive culture, employee engagement activities and development opportunities make Drax Group a great place to work.
