Learning Support Co-ordinator (HE & FE)

Full-time | Permanent | £23,231-£27,552 per annum

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our additional learning support team as a Co-ordinator for specialist support.

You will have substantial experience of working with students with disabilities and/or specific learning difficulties on a one-to-one basis, and will similarly demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the effects of specific learning difficulties on language and learning in an HE/FE context. When working with students with other disabilities, you will also have an in-depth knowledge of how these disabilities affect particular areas of learning.

As Co-ordinator, you will have an awareness of the strengths which students with specific learning difficulties can bring to a learning situation, and the skills to help students to make use of these strengths, and overcome any barriers to their learning. You will also seek to assist students from Access and Level 3 courses onto higher education programmes.

You will have knowledge of the issues facing both Higher and Further Education Student Services, have the flexibility to undertake evening and weekend work as required, and experience of effective work within a multi-disciplinary team.
