The company are a leading engineering business in the UK with their headquarters based in Glasgow. Due to continued expansion they now have a fantastic opportunity for a HR Advisor to join their team. Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven to join as an HR Advisor reporting to the Head of HR. The right candidate must have a generalist background with experience in a broad range of tasks including recruitment administration and a basic understanding of employment law. You must demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills, have excellent written skills, and must be able to perform in a strictly confidential manner.

Responsibilities of the advisor:

Recruitment administration including posting vacancies on internal blog and external recruitment job boards, screening candidates from job boards, setting up interviews and inductions items such as references, right to work checks and disclosure checks.
Administration of all employee information including maintenance of the HR database and electronic personnel folders following GDPR guidelines.
Ability to deal with basic queries and assist managers with meetings such as absence management and disciplinary.
Minute taking in meetings
Assist with ad hoc project work when required
Must have experience of working in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
Have the ability to work under pressure in challenging situations.
Flexibility to help with other administrative tasks such as booking of travel and ordering of stationary.

Requirements of the advisor:

Minimum Level 3 qualified in CIPD
Experience in an HR advisor/support/assistance role
Driving License is essential - as occasional site visits may be required
Proven ability to deal with basic employee queries
A high level confidentiality
Competent in liaising with all levels of employees
Ability to work with all MD packages
Strong communication skills, both written and verbalIn return they offer a very attractive salary and benefits package:

Salary circa to GBP26k to GBP28k - dependant on experience
Pension 3% employee and 5% employer
