We are currently recruiting NMC Registered Nurses (RGN) for an exciting opportunity working on one of the DWP's disability contracts. The role requires you to use your broad-based medical experience and clinical knowledge to conduct holistic medical assessments and write clear and concise medical reports on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions. You will not be required to make any decisions within this role but simply assist with the functional assessment of the claims process.

This is a permanent position working for a private organisation that specialises in independent health assessments on behalf of the DWP. Working hours are: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. No weekends or nights are required.

Previous experience as a Functional Assessor is not required as full comprehensive training is provided. We will consider applications from all nursing levels. However, the minimum requirement is 24 months post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate will have an agile mind for learning and developing, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the general public.

This role does not involve any treatment or diagnosis of a person's disability or health condition(s). Your NMC re-validation is fully supported and your professional indemnity is covered.

Starting salary for this role is GBP38,760pa and is inclusive of a full comprehensive benefits package:
