Our School
Colne Valley High School is one of the first purpose built comprehensive schools in England; founded in 1956 and is located in the Colne Valley, an area of outstanding beauty in the east flank of the Pennine Hills in West Yorkshire. The role
This is a great opportunity for an excellent professional with an interest in the Education sector to support our Design Technology department here at Colne Valley High School.
We are looking to appoint a highly capable and self-motivated DT Technician who can support our teachers during practical lessons by carrying out various duties including, but not limited to;
?? Preparing materials, stock and resources required for demonstration and for practical work in all workshops/classrooms.
?? To support staff and students with CAD/CAM activities.
?? Carrying out routine maintenance and care of hand and machine tools.
?? To inspect, care and maintain benches, tools and stocks cupboards.
?? To safely store and rack materials e.g. timber, metal, plastics.
?? Recycling useful raw materials.
?? Service and upkeep of the Laser Cutter.
?? To assist in the trialling of practical activities.
