Customer Services / Delivery Drivers ( Building Products ).
Our client is a market leader in gravel and other landscaping products being sold into builders merchants and garden centres nationwide. We have been briefed to find a number of high calibre Customer Services/ Delivery Drivers who are also capable of building and maintaining relationships with the managers of the various depots they will be visiting. A large part of the job involves engaging with customers upon arrival at the delivery destination, and building and maintaining their trust. You should be able to deliver high levels of customer service as well as just the product.
The product includes bags of sand and gravel which can be very heavy indeed and you could be delivering several tonnes of product each week, so it's critical that you are strong and physically fit. The job involves not only making deliveries, but quite often the customers will expect you to build their display on arrival, which is itself pretty heavy work and is often in an outside yard. You will be required to undertake some outside work therefore in all weathers.
The roles involve working largely unsupervised so it's essential you can be relied upon to manage yourself without constant supervision. That includes setting your own journey plans and deciding on your own priorities on a daily basis.
