Accountant

A leading FMCG fragrance and toiletries company, with iconic brands like So???? Fragrance, is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their growing business. Based in Harrow (West London HA1). Salary: GBP30,000 to GBP35,000, depending on experience. Previous experience (7+ years) as an Accounts Assistant / Financial Accountant in a busy small team required. Working towards ACA / ACCA highly desirable.

Duties of the Financial Accountant will include:
-Reporting to the Financial Director/MD
-Credit control, Sales ledger and purchase ledger management,
-Bank reconciliations ensuring all postings and cash allocations are up to date
-Accurately and promptly allocating entries to the financial ledger
-Completing quarterly VAT returns, and EEC Reports.
-Completing month end and year end journal entries
-Full ownership of the monthly management accounts including production of P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
-Working up to trial balance
-Stock/Project accounting
-Accruals/Prepayments
-Financial analysis
-Weekly Cashflow management
-Budgetary Control.
-Ad-hoc projects

As Financial Accountant you will have the following skill set:
-Previous experience (7+ years) as an Accounts Assistant / Financial Accountants in a busy small team.
-Working towards ACA / ACCA highly desirable
-Strong reconciliation experience
-Excellent communication skills
-Good Knowledge of Sage line 50 accounts software
-Strong Excel skills
