Care Home Deputy Manager elderly
I am looking for an experienced senior care/deputy manager. You will take full responsibility of the home, staff and residents in the absence of the care manager.
You will need to have a min of 2 years management/supervisor experience within a care home for the elderly and be fully up to date on CQC requirements. You will work 5 out of the 7 days and of these you will be expected to be on the floor for one of these shifts. Shifts are 8 ours - there will be some degree of flexibility required to cover sickness and absence as and when required.
The home is a small home based within a fabulous a setting and cares for both male and females. Areas that you will be support and be responsible for are
All aspects of care day to day, which includes external agencies such as GPs, nurses and anyone else that could e involved in the care of clients. Have a positive approach towards individual care planning and needs. Ensure care planning and quality assurance systems and best practice is upheld at all times.
Financial measures and control - manage and monitor budgets as agreed by the home manger
HR - ensure all HR polices and procedures are implemented followed and maintained at all times. Recruitment of appreciate staff, training and development are essential to the home to ensure all staff are knowledgeable and competent. Workloads and forward planning for the home, manage sickness and holidays ensuring the home is staffed at all times. Support the home manger with all staff disciplinary, grievance and dismissals, and ensure staff are consistently working to high stands.
Marketing - Actively market the care home in a positive light ensuring at all times client vacancy's are filled. Ensure the home is well presented an clean at all times inside and out.
Health and Safety - Have up to date knowledge and understanding of all health and safety and fire regulations and requirements, and of more recent COVID19 rules and testing regulations.
You must have a passion for care and want to make a difference in the sector, fresh and dynamic in your approach.
