It is East Lothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale.

Rate of Pay GBP9.34 - GBP9.47 per hour
Temporary until 25th June 2021
This post is term time - 38 weeks per year
Days and times of work:
Monday - Thursday 1030 - 1100 & Friday 1215 - 1315
To start October 2020

Pencaitland Primary School opened on its present site in 1975.

The building is semi-open plan set on a pleasant site in Easter Pencaitland. It is a state school operating within the structure of East Lothian Council.

The basic accommodation consists of 10 classroom bases set around 2 open areas, a multi purpose hall with stage/G.P. room, library, dining hall and a community room.
The present roll is 168.

The school is currently involved in the 1140 hours pilot scheme. We have one Senior Early Years Practitioners, and 3 part time nursery nurses.

Pencaitland Primary School is a co-educational, non-denominational school.
