The role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the IT team in the role of Senior Software & Database Developer. Working alongside the existing team you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of bespoke databases, applications and websites. You will contribute to the development of new strategies and technologies with a view to improve working processes.
The Senior Software & Database Developer requirements:
Candidates will be organised; deadline focused and have a keen eye for detail.
Essential:
•5+ years commercial experience •Full stack development experience •Proficient in C# in both ASP.NET and server applications •Good communicator, able to work with non-technical colleagues and mentor junior developers •Converting business requirements into technical design, delivering bespoke software solutions •Significant technical DBA, Web and OLAP experience, utilising MS SQL Server development skills along with data flow redesign and implementation
Desirable (candidates to demonstrate:
•Experience of .NET core •Experience of creating Web services & APIs & working with 3rd party providers •Experience of Azure SQL server and/or AWS •Experience of noSQL databases such as MongoDB •DevOps workflow experience including working with Git in a CI/CD environment
Experience of PowerBi, Qlik View/Sense, SSRS & other BI tools, creating and consuming Web services and experience in microservice architecture.
