Assistant Management Accounts required for our Sudbury based client to work with the Company's Management team to help them use financial information to drive business strategy. As the Assistant Management Account, you will relay information from the accounting department to the Management team and be responsible for a variety of duties within the finance team. Our client our ideally looking for someone who can start immediately with them in this role of Assistant Management Accountant and ideally someone who has a genuine interest in pursuing a career within management accounts.

The Role

Production of costings & monthly reports for management pack
Assist with preparation of the mid-year sales and profit forecast
Annual revaluation of costing rates
Create, review and investigate gross margin reports.
Assist with preparation of the annual budget, with specific responsibility for the production of the orders and sales budgets in conjunction with the sales teams
Participate in costing review projects to ensure validity and accuracy of base data
Maintaining records and support auditing efforts
Preparing financial statements for internal and external use
Recording financial transactions for projects, departments, or companies
Assisting in the operational decision-making process through monitoring expenditure reports
Month End Reporting including Gross Margin Reports
Assisting in the production of Year End Accounts
Working hours Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
The Person

Successfully completed a Degree or AAT qualification and have a genuine interest in pursuing a career within Management Accounts. Potential to study for the CIMA qualification.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Knowledge of accounting terms and concepts, particularly standard costing.
Understanding of Finance regulation and legislation.
Analytical & critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to build relationships with all levels within the organisation.
Ideally possess previous experience within the manufacturing industry
Knowledge of business strategy and methodology, strategic thinking skills.
