Senior Cost Manager- Bristol & Plymouth
The role is to support a wider commercial team across a programme of water sector capital delivery projects. The role involves working as part of an integrated collaborative cost management team working in a client facing office with both the client and supply chain delivery partners.
Job Objectives:
* Supporting the team to provide professional cost management of the capital investment programme
* Understand the flow of financial information between SAP teams, project managers and contractors
* Prepare first draft works orders for Cost Management Lead's review
* Assist in the identification, and analyse commercial project risks ensuring risks are understood, valued and correctly allocated
* Assist in administration of early warnings and compensation events using CEMAR
* Assist in the monthly project application for payment valuations
* Assist in forecast reporting including managing the forecast templates and summaries
* Assist in the audit and agreement of final accounts at contractor and project levels
* Assist the Commercial Lead's monthly programme reports developed and issued to the client
* Carry out analytical reporting as and when identified such as benchmarking across supply chain delivery
* Attend site visits and NEC monthly progress meetings as required to assist CM leads and client PM
Required Skills:
* Degree qualified and MRICS qualified (or working towards)
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Inquisitive and problem solving skill base
* NEC contract knowledge and experience, particularly Option C
* Demonstrable cost management experience working at a consultancy
* Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel
* Circa 5 Years' experience, preferably in a similar role
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multi disciplined programme team environment
