The Hiring Heroes are proud to be assisting a long standing textile company based in Cornwall. A company filled with Heritage and the production of high standard textiles they are extremely popular among their customers.
They are currently looking for a number of textile workers to join the business under a new management team to progress and grow the business.
Main job role - Preparing and producing fibres.
* Spinning and winding yarn on to bobbins.
* Worsted and Woollen processing of various fibres.
* Finishing processes ready for despatch to the customer.
* Setting up and operating yarn processing machines
* Advising business and the wider production team on the production processes and the future efficiency of machines.
* Training and supervising textile operatives on using the machinery.
* Day-to-day maintenance, such as cleaning, oiling, greasing and checking performance levels.
* Troubleshooting equipment to spot and deal with potential issues before they arise.
* Diagnosing mechanical problems, isolating faulty parts and reporting to the In House M & E Engineer.
* Ordering replacement parts or, in some cases, making new parts.
* Maintaining accurate documentation and records for work completed, usually on computers.
* Working closely with the Senior Carding Engineer and M & E Engineer

This role is working 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday, which will change to a double day shift after training to a rolling day shift.
