The Role
As a Senior Production Manager, you will take responsibility for the effective management of Section Managers and Leaders as well as Production Operative staff in the delivery of a highly efficient packing operation.
Ensuring all your staff are suitably trained and effective team members, you will work alongside Operations and Planning teams to deliver the right products for the right customers at the right time.
Overseeing the activities of the Packhouse and Packhouse staff, you will also:
- Ensure the production plan is followed in order to meet collection times
- Provide support to the Packhouse
- Make sure your team are developed, motivated and engaged
- Monitor Packhouse performance
- Play an active role in daily meetings
- Manage budgets effectively including staffing
About You
To be considered as a Senior Production Manager, you will need:
- Experience within senior management roles within horticulture, fresh produce, food production and/or an FMCG environment along with operating within a KPI driven structure
- Experience in a labour intensive, high volume and fast moving environment, supplying retailers, gained within the food, fresh produce or horticulture sectors
- Experience of leading and managing people
- Proven experience in driving continuous improvement activities
- Microsoft Office experience including Excel & Word
