My client are one of the largest online value retailers in the UK.

They are currently transforming their entire end to end IT systems. As part of the development and expansion of their IT department, they now have a new opportunity for a Middleware Support Engineer.

You will provide and maintain secure and reliable installation, configuration, troubleshooting, application deployment and Unix Middleware expertise, aligned to all governance, compliance and quality standards and expectations

• Providing and maintaining safe, secure, performant and reliable Wintel Middleware application hosting environments, enabling the delivery of business objectives and goals
• Maintaining the integrity of Wintel Middleware platforms and environments, building resilience and delivering business continuity
• Proactively identifying, recommending and improving ways of working in deployment of Wintel Middleware systems, supporting and delivering continuous service improvements across IT, the business and end users
• Auditing and adhering to all compliance, governance, quality and security standards, delivering a safe, secure and reliable Wintel Middleware service to the business

What are we looking for?

• Significant experience of successful delivery and deployment of Applications & Middleware in a commercial cloud environment
• Ability to deliver in a demanding and pressurised environment
• Experience in effectively managing a range of tasks and priorities, simultaneously
• Good communication & interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate in the technical arena
• Ability to engage, challenge and influence system users

Salary:
GBP30,000-GBP40,000 + Benefits including Private Health care, Pension, excellent holidays.
