The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the commercial and industrial sector. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes complete electrical installations along with planned and preventative maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a building fabric technician to join the company supporting a project in Peterborough, PE3 6JY.

Duties

As a suitably experienced handyperson you will be working on site at a major commercial office development in Peterborough. With responsibility to assist with planned, preventative and reactive maintenance to the building fabric. Specifically, first line response maintenance and fault diagnosis to emergency lighting, building management systems and access control systems. Other duties will include moving office furniture, painting, basic carpentry, plaster patching and basic plumbing along with other general repairs to the building and ancillary equipment.

About You

Based ideally in Peterborough you will need to live within a short commutable distance of PE3 6JY. The role may also include carrying out similar duties at other regional offices in Birmingham, Leicester and Bristol for which a company van will be provided.

Demonstrable experience of general building works along with a strong construction background is essential for this role.

Minimum CSCS with a relevant construction based qualification.

Full UK driving license is essential.

In return for your experience you will receive a salary between GBP12.00 and GBP15.50 per hour as well as a range of other benefits.
