Senior Probate Solicitor
Our client is a leading national law firm with a difference. They are now going through exciting growth and they are currently seeking to hire a Senior Solicitor to spearhead their Contentious Probate work. Ideally you will have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience of working within this specialist area of litigation.
This position could be based from any of their offices or from home and once their offices are fully reopened, will likely see at least 2-3 days per week working from home for the foreseeable future.
Your work will involve:
* Contesting Wills
* Making claims under the Inheritance Act 1975
* Breaches of lifetime promises
* Disputes concerning the administration of a Trust or an Estate
* Claims concerning negligent advice about a Will, Trust or an Estate
* Disputed applications to the Court of Protection to register a Power or Attorney, to appoint a Deputy, approve a lifetime gift or the making of a statutory Will
The right candidate will must have an ability to mentor and supervise less experienced solicitors and assist in the development and growing of the team.
Management responsibility will be to understand the day to day running of the section and to report weekly to the HoD and to develop of new work sources and understand the budget and inception targets which are set.
There is also a need to be able to create and adapt standards and to review the structure of the overall section.
This will in large be guided and influenced by the HoD but there is a need to be heavily involved in the growth and success of the section.
This is fast becoming an important area within their Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, and as such they need an experienced and knowledgeable new colleague to help drive this further forward. In return for your experience and knowledge they are offering a very competitive basic salary of up to GBP60,000 (which could potentially be more for the right individual).
