Job Description
Coolgen / COOL:Gen / AllFusion:Gen / CA GEN / OSL Software Developer with experience in CA GEN within a UNIX environment and with SQL skills is required for this 12-month remote working contract with our governmental customer.

The current demands of Covid Business Recovery in addition to the ongoing business change portfolio delivery commitments have led to a capacity deficit within the IT Engineering and Test department that requires urgent fulfilment on their core applications.

The successful Coolgen / COOL:Gen / AllFusion:Gen / CA GEN / OSL Developer will be required to deliver an exceptionally high standard of code in accordance with business requirements, undertaking development work on both internal and external facing applications whilst working as part of a flexible software delivery team operating in a variety of styles, including agile.

Coolgen / COOL:Gen / AllFusion:Gen / CA GEN / OSL Developers applying must have proven experience of the following to qualify:
Fluency and experience in CA GEN in a UNIX environment; using SQL with an Oracle (or equivalent) database; supporting Business Analysts or business representatives to formalise or clarify requirements; production of low-level technical designs and documentation; the definition and execution of formal unit tests.

Additional experience in the following would be highly advantageous:
Writing UNIX scripts (working knowledge of C and KORN shell scripting); writing PL/SQL scripts on a UNIX platform and GEN development on an AIX (IBM) platform.
Ideally Coolgen/OSL Software Developers applying will already hold BPSS basic level clearance, however there may be time for Logix Resourcing to obtain clearance prior to the start date for successful and eligible applicants who have been in the UK for a minimum of 3 months.
Please note that this position is remote working for the duration of the contract, other than 1 day onsite to pickup kit.
