Procurement Manager MEP - London - GBP85k - 90k plus up to 20% bonus, Car allowance and Travel

Reporting into the Commercial Director of this well known Building Services Engineering practise you will be responsible for looking after the buying team and looking after the supply chain covering the London region. Dealing with peers across the business and establishing frameworks etc. with suppliers, placing orders for equipment and liaising with internal technical teams to source the best equipment at the best cost. The ideal candidate will have experience of working for an MEP Contractor.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Provide effective leadership of the operational supply chain team within the assigned region. Ensure procurement
and supply chain activities align with the delivery of the regional business plans and objectives of the Group. Provide
support to Group supply chain activities, such as purchase to pay, strategic sourcing, systems and governance.

KEY DELIVERABLES DISCIPLINE ACTIVITY
Health and Safety Ensure that a Health and Safety culture is embedded within the team by demonstrating appropriate Health and Safety leadership to ensure that the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive.

Team Leadership and Engagement
Provide engaging and authentic leadership in all aspects of your role. Provide clear direction to the supply chain/procurement team, through provision of objectives, responsibilities and accountabilities, managing performance accordingly. Ensure alignment with, and delivery of the operational business needs and group procurement needs through engaging with regional SLT's, Group head of functions and functional resources.

Supply Chain Management
Embed the 'Customer of Choice' strategy and effectively manage all strategic, preferred and approved suppliers to maximise value across the operational area and Group. Channel spend/orders appropriately to maximise value. Take ownership of local supply chain management/local agreements and support national relationships. Ensure that supplier performance is regularly recorded and that management information is acted upon to drive improved performance. Be responsible for recommending any new vendors. Develop and own influential relationships with key/important suppliers.

Work Winning
Build effective working relationships with work winning teams to obtain the optimum supply chain solutions and appropriate prime cost for all tenders. Circulate the regional strategic pipeline on a monthly basis to the defined strategic supply chain partners, ensuring that added value and innovation is captured and reported. Ensure the function is effectively represented all tender kick off, settlement and bid handover meetings.

Performance
Manage supply chain categories, ensuring the effective delivery of category strategies and the associated financial objectives for the categories set by Group. Use category management information to exploit opportunities for enhanced innovation and operational performance. Maximise supply chain engagement in pre-commencement, securing value-add SLAs and driving the delivery of them. Understand and contribute to spend aggregation targets, through alignment with the other members of the function (including Group strategic sourcing managers).

Procurement Strategy
Deliver the supply chain strategy in partnership with the operational teams across all regional projects and tender opportunities. Ensure the procurement team lead and own project procurement strategies and that procurement schedules are kept accurate and up to date and that they feed into the aggregation schedule.

Group Strategy
Support the Group procurement function with key data capture on entry and exit costs to build and manage the price barometer. Develop a strong
performance culture across your region and the division, being accountable for the management of regional/divisional supply chain dashboards, demonstrating value-add and ROI to the Operations Directors on an ongoing basis. Deliver the annual operational procurement savings targets as agreed with the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Leadership Team.

Financial Management
Manage the team resources within agreed operational budgets. Drive rebate spend through order placement with applicable suppliers, whilst
ensuring that work winning and project delivery objectives are not compromised. Supplement Group/National deals with local rebate arrangements. Support finance/P2P in rebate acquisition.

EXPERIENCE
Experience in effectively leading an operational supply chain team and external suppliers to meet Group targets
and operational delivery requirements.
Experience of strategic procurement and supply chain management to support work winning, operational delivery
and delivery of best possible cost vs value outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS - ESSENTIAL
Relevant degree or significant equivalent procurement and supply chain experience
