Gi Group are working in partnership with 2 Sisters Food Group in Scunthorpe.

2 Sisters site in Scunthorpe is one of the UK's largest poultry processing facilities supplying chicken to a number of the major supermarkets and fast food chains.

We are looking for additional colleagues to come and join us on site, to support the continual growth in demand for the products, and join our diverse team of people who are proudly feeding the nation.

Whilst working in a chicken factory might not be the most glamorous position you have ever applied for, people working here have had continuous work throughout the "lockdown" with plenty of opportunity for overtime. At a time when many have lost their jobs, or unfortunately may do so in the near future, working in this environment can be considered amongst the most secure roles currently available. Every person here is a key worker who has been doing their bit.

It is also a commonly held belief that work available on sites such as this is short term and without opportunity to progress. Again, this is where GI Group and 2 Sisters are bucking the trend. After 12 weeks, many of our employees are taken on permanently by 2 Sisters, leading to even greater security and enhanced pay rates. However, even agency workers have the ability to progress quickly with things like Butchery training in order be to become better qualified, be eligible for premium pay rates, and undertake more challenging and skillful roles within the factory. Progression here is a genuine possibility, this is a large and complex site that requires a huge variety of talented people to keep things working well, the vast majority of these are promoted from within.

We have a number of shift patterns available across the working day. Our standard full time shift pattern is a 2 week rotating shift:

(Week 1) Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00, Saturday 06:00-18:00
And then
(Week 2) Monday to Friday 14:00-22:00.

After breaks this is 7 hours 10 mins per shift at an average of 41 hours per week. This equates to GBP357.52 each week before tax.

If you are looking for Part Time hours, then we can accommodate:

Monday to Friday 06:00-10:00
Monday to Friday 10:00-14:00
Monday to Friday 18:00-22:00
Friday, Saturday & Monday 06:00-14:00
We also have occasional requirements for Night workers.

Applicants will be required to -
* Be comfortable working in a chilled food environment, whose product is raw meat
* Able to work with and contribute as part of a large site team
* Work within the food safety/ health and safety and specific site regulations.

In return successful candidates will get-
* Regular hours of work
* Subsidised canteen facilities
* Free Parking
* Working as part of the UK largest and known suppliers
* Permanent employment opportunity (if desired)

Training is provided both prior to start and on the job.
Pay rate increases after 12 week dependent on the skill level.
