Granville Lodge, part of the Huntercombe Group is a 9 bedded residential home close to the centre of Hartlepool for children and young people who require a high level of specialist care due to physical and learning disabilities due to conditions such as Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.
We also welcome Children and Young People who stay with us for short breaks to provide respite. We encourage and promote lots of activities and trips out with our young people to ensure that they get a chance to have fun and encounter different experiences; we aim to replicate a family environment.
We are recruiting a Bank Driver to join the team to drive our 8 seater mini bus taking our children and young people out on trips, visits and to appointments.
You will be responsible for:
* Following pre-determined schedules and organise routes as appropriate to transport residents safely and efficiently.
* Supporting residents with physical disabilities by helping them board vehicles and carrying equipment as necessary
A full driving licence is essential and DVLA checks will be carried out as will an enhanced DBS check and full referencing before a start date can be confirmed.
As this is a Bank role, hours are not guaranteed and will be offered when they are available. We are looking for someone who is flexible and who has preferably worked in a similar role previously.
The hourly rate of pay is GBP8.82 per hour.
