Maths / Science Teacher/Tutor - Specialised education setting - Leeds (Close to centre)
We are proud to be working alongside an alternative setting who provide an education for children who are not in a mainstream School. The students who attend have behavioural issues or are disengaged with a mainstream education. The setting provides a nurturing and supportive environment for the students who attend with an aim to reduce the number of exclusions.
The ideal candidate will have taught Maths and or Science to GCSE level and will be able to deliver engaging and differentiated learning to the students and may offer an NQT the perfect opportunity to kick start their teaching career. This role is also open to any Science or Maths graduates who may have worked with disaffected young people and has taught or tutored to GCSE level. You will need to be resilient and have the ability to moderate the behaviour of the students and keep them on task whist forming positive relationships with them in order to help you and the students' progress.
