This particular opening is for a Backend Software Engineer and their ideal person will be skilled in either PHP or Ruby (or both) - Due to their diverse customer base they don't feel like a one size fits all approach would be fair so they will use the right tool for the job (within reason).
They don't operate in a particularly hierarchical way, everyone contributes, everyone is listened to and respected. They love innovation and love those with lots of cool ideas. In their personal lives they attract people from diverse backgrounds, from outdoorsy types to those who like to game their way through their weekends. The one thing they all share is that they are super passionate about creating incredible products which have a real purpose!
Requirements:
Experienced Software Engineer working with PHP (Python and/or Ruby is a bonus)
Strong understanding of server technologies (AWS, Docker, ansible)
Excellent understanding of databases (MySQL, NoSQL although open minded)
Any experience in JavaScript, React, Native technologies, Machine Learning, Blockchain or Elasticsearch would help but is by no means a prerequisite!
