Role Mission Statement

The Group Marketing Manager reports to the Chairman/Interim Commercial Director and is responsible for implementing Group wide marketing activities and supporting the sales and business development activities through the provision of market research, communications and presentations.

The requirements of the role will be flexible depending on market conditions and specific company requirements but there are a number of core elements;

Implement marketing actions to enhance G&P's brand reputation and familiarity
Management of 3rd party agencies, including the PR agency to provide cost effective actions
Develop targeted and efficient social media and email campaigns
Support new business development initiatives, including a review of the websites and content collateral
Develop presentations as required to support the sales and corporate initiatives
Support the diversification strategy by helping with the research into new sectors and business propositions
Develop and implement a strategy for engagement with major clients, relevant industry networks and press supported by a series of events.
Ensure that brand and marketing actions are consistent across the Group
This is a hands-on and flexible role where you will not only implement marketing programmes but also support cross functional teams that are focussed on developing new automotive business and delivering our diversification strategy, in terms of new sectors and revenue streams.

Activities

Key elements of this role include the following;

Implement plans to enhance G&P's brand reputation including:

Liaising with 3rd party agencies to bring cost effective new design projects in on time and budget
Company Website - new design updates and website content maintenance
Brochure - design updates and content changes
Using own knowledge and online tools to produce design work for G&P (including case studies, posters, campaigns, social media graphics etc).
Ensure that a group wide approach is taken to ensure consistency of message

Liaise with 3rdParty PR Agency to:

Create monthly press releases keeping G&P in the national, local and trade press
Submit Award applications in line with PR goals

Social Media

Maintain the G&P Corporate Social Media Channels including LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook
Create content calendars in line with the company PR plan across multiple countries
Liaise with country teams for translation support in order to populate content calendars

Email Campaign

Build and implement email campaigns in line with the company objectives
Monitor unsubscribes and log in accordance with GDPR
Maintain data accuracy for subscribers by cleaning data

CRM Strategy

Ensure the CRM system is updated and cleansed as required
Recommend improvements to provide greater clarity and usability of the data
Collect and update market intelligence around general industry trends and competitor positioning

Support the Events programme for the company, including but not limited to:

Exhibitions where G&P are participating
Open Days
Supplier days at Customer premises
Hospitality for clients on behalf of the company

Create and update Company Presentations:

Periodic Standard Presentations updates,
Support the Creation of module presentations
Liaise with the country teams to create customer specific Case Studies
Creation of Customer Specific presentations for Tenders and Meetings

Purchasing

Ensure best prices are gained from Suppliers and the Finance process is adhered to purchasing items
Make recommendations on appropriate Merchandise

General Administration Support

Be a point first point of contact for G&P and Vivate by responding to enquiries across the company's general inboxes
Maintain memberships and renewal for marketing services across G&P
Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Company to support the Marketing Department.

Skills Requirements

Experience of implementing cost effective and targeted marketing programmes
Strong social media and network skills
Strong coordination and communication skills, with ability to prioritise effectively
Good analysis skills with a strong attention to detail and mindset to meet deadlines
Proficient at PowerPoint and word and ideally familiar with Microsoft BI
CRM experience is desirable but more important to have the ability to quickly learn new systems
The role is based in Head Office, Birmingham, UK with the occasional need to travel
