Regional Sales Manager
Select in Oxford is partnered with a leading Healthcare provider of Community Equipment Services. Our client is currently looking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager to cover All UK, M4 Corridor ideally to be able to service the Southern region.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be a strong team player with the ability to work well under pressure, form effective interpersonal relationships (both internally and externally).
Duties and responsibilities:
* To achieve the agreed annual sales and margin targets in cash or % in the defined geographical area.
* To represent the company in the defined market that the business operates in and to promote the company in line with the sales and marketing plan.
* To carry out "face to face" key account sales visits per week in markets or with customer types as directed by the Head of Sales. Sales visits to non-key accounts to support and prospects will be in addition. Cost effective journey planning must be maintained by the RSM.
* Ensure that key customers are visited in each local authority in your area a minimum of once per month unless otherwise determined by the key account themselves.
* Submit a completed weekly report detailing the previous week's activity by the Tuesday following the previous Friday.
* To produce Area Management Information reports on a monthly basis and save onto in-house system.
* Carry out product demonstrations and assessments in conjunction with healthcare professionals. Ensure all are logged with the Sales Administrator and notify of outcome.
* To operate a journey plan in the most efficient manner in terms of time and cost.
* To produce quotations through the Internal Sales Team and correspondence with customers at an acceptable standard (as defined by the agreed sales processes)
* To support on tenders
* To review contract and special price agreements in line with the relevant procedure.
* To respond to customer requests for quotations, appointments or "queries" within three working days.
* To feedback relevant customer, product, competitor and market information.
* To attend national and regional exhibitions as required
* Manage product samples within their budget in a saleable condition.
* Maintain company property (car, lap top, Phone etc.) in line with company policy
Requirements:
* Be able to communicate with people at all levels (both verbally and written)
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Have intermediate IT and presentation skills, including; Microsoft Office Excel (levels v-lookup and pivot tables) and outlook
* Have excellent attention to detail, with an enthusiastic, professional and flexible approach to work
* To support the Commercial Manager, Internal Account Manager and Internal/External Sales Team
Experience
* Minimum 4 years sales experience.
* Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Experience of working in a team.
* Market knowledge /sector experience within Healthcare is preferred but not essential
The successful candidate will be joining a great team alongside a competitive salary and benefits package, including pension, discounts and offers. You'll be entitled to a enhanced holiday of 33 days per year which increases with service.
Hours 37.5 a week.
