The Role:

We're seeking a highly experienced and scrupulous Quality Assurance Team Lead to be responsible for the management of a small team and to be a GDP subject matter expert for the Accord EMENA Region. You'll deliver complete compliance oversight of GDP activities for Senior Management and Responsible Persons for products distributed in the UK Market, as well being a key influencer on GDP matters across other markets. To ensure future GDP compliance it will be key to design and implement robust policies and procedures in line with EU guidelines. Moreover, you'll have responsibility for guaranteeing all WDA(H)s are maintained to reflect the current scope of activities performed. As part of our continuous commitment to excellence you'll develop and deliver engaging GDP training programmes for cross-functional teams across the business. Finally, as the GDP SME you'll lead or support UK MHRA (and other authority) GDP inspections, liaising with the regulators as required, in addition to providing expertise during supplier and corporate audits and act as a Responsible Person when necessary.

The Person:

  • A detailed understanding and significant practical experience of EU GDP including Export activities
  • Experience of providing quality oversight for outsourced GDP activities
  • Experience of performing supplier quality audits
  • Detailed knowledge of the requirements for wholesalers of the Falsified Medicines Directive
  • Experience of acting as an SME for MHRA and other competent authority GDP Inspections
  • A practical approach to developing and implementing procedures and processes within a regulated environment
  • An excellent communicator, who can interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong network of pharmaceutical quality professionals
  • Experience of developing and delivering GDP / quality related training
  • Experience with people management and managing small teams
  • Ideally completed Gold Standard Responsible Person Training or able to act as an RP
  • Degree or equivalent in a science discipline
