If you are commercial property solicitor with experience in the social housing sector, somebody with strong leadership qualities and excellent people skills - you belong at Bromford.

Reporting to the head of legal counsel, your role as commercial property solicitor is to use your technical and leadership skills to support the delivery of all commercial property activity, ensuring customer service excellence and great results.

You'll manage acquisitions, leasehold portfolio, leases, wayleaves, licences, collective enfranchisement, s.20 consultation and provide general property legal advice in line with our strategy, budget and targets, achieving positive results along the way. Develop and manage work plans for enabling service and ensure effective implementation, aligning plans to the strategy timescales. You'll create and review policies, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and good practice, providing support, training and coaching to colleagues, increasing capability and facilitating the delivery of internal services.

You must ensure compliance with best practise, legislative and regulatory frameworks, evaluating, developing and continuously improving ways of working with a focus on excellence and value for money. When things don't go to plan, you'll learn from this and offer improvements, demonstrating commercial insight and finding better ways of doing things.

You will inspire and support the team to deliver performance against targets, key performance indicators, financial outcomes and legal compliance providing technical and professional leadership and assurance to enable them to thrive. You'll build strong and close working relationships with other teams, ensuring effective and timely communication, whilst shaping service delivery and developing internal standards, policies and procedures.

You'll play a vital role in helping us provide safe, secure and warm housing to over 100,000 people. But working with us is about so much more than putting a roof over someone's head. The location of this role can be flexible and will involve travel across our geography, so you must hold a full, clean driving licence.

As commercial property solicitor, you will bring:

Qualification as a solicitor/chartered legal executive (with conveyancing authority)
A minimum one-year PQE
Experience in land, commercial property, conveyancing and landlord and tenant law, preferably within the social housing sector
Experience of managing a team, providing strong leadership support and coaching
Strong IT skills
Ability to present information which is easy to understand
Financial acumen
Experience of securing and maintaining productive relationships with key partners and stakeholders
