The Senior Buyer will be responsible for;
Interpret, manage and direct sourcing activities in the most cost-effective and profitable manner
Ensuring un-interrupted supply of 3rd party materials and services.
As a member of the Supply Chain team, develop and deploy robust sourcing strategies across a portfolio of assigned categories.
Deliver benefit(s) within the Supply Chain and organisation by deploying Supply Chain tools including RFQ's, negotiation, contract execution and an understanding of the strategic supplier(s) needs to satisfy the company customer requirements.
The successful candidate will have;
A Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply ("MCIPS") or currently studying for membership
A minimum of five (5) year's experience in a supply chain position, in an engineering manufacturing environment
An understanding of the supply chain role in the overall business model and how to create value by providing an efficient and understood individual with a clear understanding of the Supply Chain
The ability to quickly understand the company business model and to translate this into deliverable actions within the supply base
