The School is broken down into sections, of which Engineering is one and it incorporates many facets of engineering – automotive, aerospace, electrical, electronics, mechanical and maintenance. Its courses range from pre-entry level to Higher National Diploma.  It has a long and successful track record in providing high quality training, working with a large number of employers and training organisations.

Within the role, you will teach to both HE and FE vocational courses related to engineering, predominantly on vocational Level 3/4 programmes in aeronautical engineering. The specific required areas of engineering are Level 3 Aircraft Gas Turbine Engines and Airframe Systems, and Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Technology up to Level 5; although offering other engineering areas up to Level 5 would be an advantage. You may be asked to contribute also to the HE teaching in vocational engineering.

A key focus is helping the Head of Section ensure that your students meet and exceed their target grades. This role is about providing a high-quality student experience and outstanding outcomes in Engineering. The role encompasses working on teaching schemes, assessment schedules (including coursework) and student monitoring.

So, if you have energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education, then we would love to hear from you!

Hardworking and flexible, you will have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills and be able to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines.
