Production Operative & Courier controller

Cordant People are recruiting for Production Operative & Courier Controller on behalf of our Client based in Warrington- WA4 area.

>GBP22,000PA

Hours

>40 hours per week

>06:00 - 15:00 or 08:00 - 17:00 (inc breaks)

>The position is a full time role with the potential to be a perm role after 12 weeks.

> Must have your own transport as there is no public transport in this area.

Duties

• Making precise cuts to ceramic goods in a safe and efficient manner using diamond blade circular cutting machine
• Performing assembly operation of electric towel rails as required by customer orders
• Controlling and monitoring stocks to ensure availability of manufactured items to cover all customer orders
• Inputting customer orders onto the courier portal to generate delivery notes and courier labels
• Picking / labelling and loading of all courier goods to meet collection and customer cut off timings
• Keeping workstations organised, clean and ready for use at any time
• Active participant in annual site stocktake
• Any other warehouse duties once primary tasks are under control
• Ensure that current and future Health, Safety and Environment policy is adhered to continually support the creation of a centre of excellence culture
• Provide a flexible approach to working hours dependent on the business needs to meet the company's expectations

Experience required:

• Hands on machinery and tool use experience
• Used to operating machinery safely and accurately
• Basic computer literacy
• Warehouse picking and packing
• Fits in with the team and develops effective and supportive relationships with colleagues
• Must have attention to detail
• FLT licence preferential although training can be provided
• Good time management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Positive, 'can do' and 'gets it done' attitude
• Self-motivated and takes pride at the task in hand
