Salary scale: GBP24,807 - GBP40,485 Please note this salary will be based on a salary assessment and relevant experience
Here at Coleg Cambria we are looking for a Lecturer in Health, Social and Childcare to join our Health and Social Care team. This role is based at our Deeside campus.
Overview of Role
We are looking for people who have a background in the Health, Social and Childcare sector, who are looking to pass their knowledge on to the next generation. Sector knowledge is crucial to this role, as we need people who have in-depth knowledge and who can share their experiences gained within the workplace.
As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for performing scheduled teaching, preparing learning materials, marking students work, liaising with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required. You will also be providing invaluable educational support and guidance for students and liaise with parents as necessary. You must complete and produce agreed documentation such as attendance reports, schemes of work, course review, course analysis and student reports.
With an awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments, and should have knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these within a learning environment.
Requirements
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 4 or above in Health and Social Care, Childcare or Nursing
- A teaching qualification and a track record of successful delivery of health and social care programmes up to at least Level 3.
- A registered nursing qualification is desirable
- Proficient in MS Office and ideally in Google applications and using the internet and intranet
- Develop and use a range of learning and teaching techniques and prepare effective written and visual teaching materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong team player, displaying energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment
