RPS is currently seeking a Highways Technician to join our business as we continue to grow and move forward. Working within our Newark office but with flexibility for agile working, this is an exceptional opportunity for an engineer who is looking to develop their career.

This role is critical as we continue to support and partner with our clients and would suit an engineer with experience in a similar Highways Design role and who is familiar with the usual design standards such as DMRB. To be successful in the role, the candidate will be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and have experience in the production of S278/S38 design packages which will increase the teams drawing and modelling capacity. This is a dynamic and exciting role for a candidate who enjoys working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

?? Liaising with other construction professionals and managers in the development of designs;

?? Production of AutoCAD and Civils 3D drawings for technical approval and construction;

?? Liaison with Statutory Bodies (e.g. Highways England or Local Authority);

?? Work on projects across a variety of sectors;

?? Working closely as required with support functions within RPS;

?? Additional duties as required;

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

?? HNC in Civil Engineering

Essential Skills:

?? Proficient use of AutoCAD and experience in the production of S278/S38 design packages;

?? Excellent communication skills

Desirable Skills:

?? Previous experience in the use of 3D Civils and Micro-drainage software packages
