Job Overview: Working alongside our client we are searching for an Internal Sales & Quotation Engineer for an excellent office-based role, responsible for liaising directly with suppliers & customers to provide support for technical enquiries, quoting and order intake

successful assembly operation is involved within switchgear, electrical and
electro-mechanical assemblies. Quite unique and niche, they assemble and
supply to all industrial sectors and markets and possess an extremely skilled

Role:
* Produce quotations as appropriate, and to customer expectations.
* Produce estimated Bills of Material, for quotation purposes.
* Provide accurate lead time estimates.
* Construct commercial and technical documentation for inclusion in quotations.
* Identify and develop new business opportunities.
* Respond to customer enquiries and any further questions arising from quotations.
* Load actual BOM's and Routings in line with finalised design.
* Review actual costs against estimated costs to ensure product profitability.
* Conduct contract reviews and ensure that prototypes are controlled and costed separately to the main contract.
* Ensure that change control is documented (DCN) and requote if necessary.
* Transmit documents to customers for review and/or approval.
* Liaise with Engineering & Production
* Assist with exhibitions.
* Assist with sales forecasting.
* Assist with developing new procedures and systems.
* Be aware of potential supplier price increases and negotiate to minimise the impact on company costs.
* Liaise with new suppliers during the product implementation or existing product improvements.
* Record customer communications.
Skills:
* Able to plan, co-ordinate and assign tasks effectively.
* Personal commitment to ensuring that products are delivered at the planned cost, quality standard and on the agreed delivery date.
* Communicate effectively with both colleagues and management.
* Take the lead and have the ability to influence colleagues.
* Assertive, accurate, confident and precise.
* Willingness to take control, and lead from the front.
* Consult with team and other experts as and when required.
* Clean driving licence
Experience & Requirements
Essential - Electrical engineering, design and manufacture experience.
Essential - good knowledge of assembly processes
Essential - Able to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.
Essential - Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Desirable - Proficient in the use of MRP systems or equivalent
Desirable - BTEC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
Essential - Previous sales experience, - internal or field sales.
Essential - control panel & wiring loom design experience.
Desirable - previous experience in a similar role.
Desirable - AutoCAD.
