Childcare Apprentice
Duties & Responsibilities
* To assist in the implementation of the daily routine.
* To contribute to the planning and implementation of age appropriate activity for the children in their care, working with the Nursery manager and room leaders and other staff.
* To assist the team in observing children's development, supporting the key person system.
* To assist in creating an attractive and stimulating activities, both indoors and outdoors relevant to the developmental needs of the children.
* To assist in maintaining a high standard of provision, making effective use of the equipment and resources to meet individual needs of the children.
* To value and respect all children & families from differing cultures, religious backgrounds, gender, race, disability and stages of development.
* To share in the responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children in the nursery.
* To build positive relationships with parents and carers.
* To assist in the domestic maintenance of the nursery, including ensuring the nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times.
* To have a full understanding of the nursery confidentiality policy and the systems for record keeping.
* To be prepared to attend staff meetings and any training required
