Architect
An Architect is required for one of the leading architectural practices based in North Yorkshire, Harrogate. This RIBA practice has taken on 6 new staff in the last 4 months and they are now looking for an experienced Architect to join the growing team.
The role will focus on and see you being the Principal Designer within the business and actively co-ordinate all internal design and project reviews.
For the right Architect, this is an exciting opportunity to operate across the whole company and to work on the administration and design of projects. There will also be a strong focus on overseeing design forums to evolve projects and to make sure project admin is being professionally managed.
This RIBA practice employs over 25 staff and is known for their brave and unique designs and work all over the UK, designing and delivering on projects. They work within a variety of sectors including Commercial, Residential, Logistics, and Retail projects.
The practice has some core believes which include working with BIM and the latest industry technologies whilst making all projects as sustainable as possible. Over 75% of the workload in the practice comes from repeat business which says it all. The practice has a family feel to it with people being the heart of everything they do.
The Role: Architect
* Lead the Principal Designer role
* Be a champion for safer design
* Train staff members and advise the leadership team of the latest laws and requirements
* Lead the Design Review & Quality Assurance role
* Coordinate and lead key stage design reviews
* Focus on quality assurance and compliance
* Able to jump in on projects and add quick design value
The salary for this position ranges from GBP37K-GBP43K (DOE) plus a great benefits package.
To Be Considered: Architect
* Working knowledge of Revit
* A driver's license and live within 60 minutes of Harrogate is desirable
* Ideally some Principal Designer qualifications
* Previous experience of coordinating and leading key stage design reviews
* Ability to train staff members and communicate
* Experience of working as a Principal Designer
