A position has become available for a Document Controller.

The Document Controller will be responsible control of the large number of documents received daily, ensuring that all drawings are administered and distributed promptly. To continuously prioritise documents by maintaining an awareness of project progress at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Document / drawing management to include: maintain electronic and paper filing systems including use of on-line portals.
Act as a point of contact for all internal and external organisations with respect to document control issues.
Ensuring documents are in the right location and categorised according to type
Produce and maintain specific site documentation logs and records
Maintain site registers of design reviews
Quality checking all documentation and communication
Issuing communication status
Tracking the pending documents through weekly progress reports
Arrange printing of drawings as required (internal or external provider).
Requirements:

Experience in document control, ideally with involvement in construction.
The ability to work well under pressure, within a team and to strict timescales
Knowledge of BIM Processes
Knowledge of design, engineering, CAD and 3D model data
Experience of working within set standards, processes and systems but with an expectation to contribute to decision making on process improvement.
Experience of using on-line portals for managing data
Ability to multitask
Attention to detail, with high levels of numeracy and literacy
Able to work unsupervised using own initiative
Desirable Skills & qualification:

Previous experience within a standalone support role
GDPR qualification
CSCS card
