Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with Action For Children to appoint 2x young Person Workers to their Children's Service.

2 - 3 Month agency contracts with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.

Position - 24/7 rota, 3x 12 hour shifts.

Rate of Pay - GBP11.15+ per hours. Higher rates can be negotiated with more experienced candidates.

(You will be required to do nights and weekends where necessary)

Location - Dundee, DD4 6QT.

About the Role;

Provide support to children, young people and families by agreeing and directly delivering interventions, with appropriate direction, which enable positive and agreed outcomes to be achieved, in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

*** Previous experience with Learning disabilities / Challenging Behaviour is needed. ***

Key Responsibilities;

Provide a high quality service to children, young people and their families, based on an assessment of need and is outcomes driven.
Deliver interventions to children, young people or families on a 1:1 basis or in a group setting, with appropriate direction.
Maintain effective working relationships and channels of communications with colleagues and with children, young people and families and where necessary encourage and promote involvement to achieve positive outcomes.
Be alert to child protection and safeguarding issues and inform appropriate line managers of concerns in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Attend and actively participate in relevant multi-agency meetings.
Be responsible for organising achievement of work objectives on a daily basis, including both pre and forward planning.
Retain accurate and contemporaneous records, using various IT systems to capture case details, outputs and outcomes as necessary and to produce written reports and present these as necessary.
Guide, direct or line manage staff and volunteers where necessary.
Ensure familiarity and compliance with relevant Action for Children policies and procedures.
