Looking for an experienced product based quality engineer who has worked in a production environment around packaged electronics and systems, most important skill required is PFMEA
* Enhance production efficiency by undertaking process and design analysis (PFMEA and DFMEA) on NPI and product variations, suggesting process and component improvements.
* Review PFMEA outputs and return merchandise authorizations (RMA) with the Quality Manager, implementing various inspection types at targeted production stages.
* Host or attend process design and product reviews, providing technical risk management expertise through all product life cycles.
* To support the delivery of new product introduction (NPI) and product variations, ensuring process steps proposed are appropriate and realistic to scale.
* Improve the in-house inspection criteria for all parts, communicating specifications, expectations, tolerances, and where applicable engineering change notices (ECN)
* Assist the Quality Engineer by undertaking various inspection types such as goods received, interim, final assembly, and rework as determined by workflow requirements and the Quality Manager.
* Process and record non-conforming material, identify root cause, and determine preventive measures.
* Produce and analyse various data reports such as inspection work queues and non-conformances, identifying patterns and trends.
* Work closely with relevant departments to investigate customer returns, completing formal 8D responses comprehensively and in a timely manner.
* Maintain all QMS documentation such as records of inspection, QIPs, an QTPs via the Master Document Index.
* Continually improve QMS processes such as QIPs, implementing change such as its layout, language, and suggesting ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency. This includes managing the associated training outputs
* Obtain job specific qualifications such as IPC training or internal auditing as dictated by the business.
* Provide direct line support for quality related issues as and when they arise
