UX Research Consultant - Premier Team
Role Overview
The UX Research Consultant is responsible for delivering expert research consultations to Premier customers and contributing to the operation of the consultative arm of the Premier program. This will involve employing deep UX research subject matter expertise to conduct outstanding Premier consultations with customers, as well as building and operating a program for delivering on-demand and scheduled research guidance at scale. The UX Research consultant also trains members of other post-sales teams on providing research consultations to customers, builds and represents the Premier brand, and ultimately ensures that customers derive value from our Premier product.
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver exceptional value to customers through Power Session consultations to assess their objectives and requirements
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of research methodologies and data analysis techniques
- Determine appropriate methods of data collection and research methodology on a case-by-case basis
- Analyse information gained from consultations and provide feedback and recommendations to customers for optimising use of our Premier Product
- Be a key contributor to the Premier program's overall strategy
- Develop scaled initiatives that leverage other members of the post-sale's team to deliver Premier value
- Mentor fellow UT team members-both researchers and Support Team-to provide expert guidance to customers
- In partnership with Strategy and Enablement:
- Further define and refine the offering and its go-to-market strategy
- Enable other UT teams to successfully leverage Premier with their customers
- In partnership with ProServ Management:
- Create rules of engagement and escalation between orgs
- Maintain successful operation and accountability of escalated consultations
- Promote the Premier brand both internally and externally
- Lead customer training sessions in UT University
- Contribute to the growth and operational efficiency of the Premier team as the company grows and enters new markets
Skills
- Experience with a variety of user-centered research tools and methods
- Ability to synthesize customer consultation requests, demonstrate subject-matter expertise, and provide meaningful research guidance and feedback on the fly
- Self-directed with excellent time management skills
- Experience training internal team members on research tools and methods
- Project/Program management experience is a big plus
Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree in behavioral science or closely related discipline. These fields may include but are not limited to Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Interface Design, or Computer Science.
At least 3 years or relevant experience in Human Factors as a UX Researcher, Analyst, or similar role in a professional environment.
Experience providing consultative services in a customer-facing capacity
Location?
The successful applicant's base office will be Edinburgh, although the role will involve travel
throughout UK for meetings.
Salary
Basic salary of GBP38,000 to GBP46,000, dependent on experience.
