Here at S3 Discovery, we are working in partnership with a global leader in science and enterprise with world class facilities on offer. We are recruiting for a BMS Technician, to join the onsite Engineering team and provide HVAC control engineering expertise in all facilities of the infrastructure and HVAC systems. This is a full time permanent position, with a clear line of progression for the right person.

The Role

To support the BMS technical lead and Engineering Team. You will be required to provide HVAC control engineering expertise in all facilities of the infrastructure and HVAC systems. With a background of Instrumentation and Calibration, you will be responsible, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Maintain and repairs of the BMS controlled HVAC systems throughout the site

  • Carry out routine checks for correct operation of all control equipment as directed by technical lead and work to Daily/Weekly Servicing Planning

  • Renovate and replace equipment as required by fault finding to maintain equipment in optimal performance condition

  • Upgrades to HVAC control systems and equipment and modifying or renovating as necessary

  • Adjust variables and provide adjustment as required to ensure systems are operating correctly within parameters

  • Personally, accountable for ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible manner

  • Mandatory to promptly report all accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions or practices

  • Provide technical support for projects and assist with commissioning and hand over works for plant and user equipment

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 5 years' experience within the BMS/Controls industry with knowledge of working within and understanding the Pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Experience of working with controls system including TAC/Trend

  • Experience in multi BMS platforms including TAC Vista, Schnider SmartStuxure, Trend, Tridium and Siemens PLC automation
