We are currently recruiting for a Weekend Poultry worker on a FTC until Februaryto join one of our Chicken Breeder farms in Shropshire.
We are a leading supplier of Chicken and Turkey products into an impressive range of customers in the UK retail and food service sectors. With ambitious plans for the future, there hasn't been a more exciting time to join us.

Working Hours: 7.30am - 4.00pm, Saturday & Sunday (There may be a need to reduce these hours slightly, dependant on flock cycle)
Band/Grade: GBP12.20 per hour, (GBP8.72 basic / GBP3.48 shift premium)
Purpose of the role:
You will be responsible for the bird welfare of the flock over the weekend. This is an ideal opportunity to advance a career within our Agriculture operations at our Dugdale Breeder Laying Site.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Working in poultry houses, i.e. walking the sheds, laying shavings, handling chickens etc.
• Collecting, screening and packing eggs onto trays, including completion of paperwork.
• Looking after bird welfare including feeding.
• General farm duties such as ground maintenance including use of equipment.
What we are looking for:
• Intermediate level of numeracy and literacy.
• Manual handling training.
• Previous experience of working in an agriculture environment or similar position.
• Poultry welfare certificate / NVQ Level 2 in livestock production is desirable, but full training will
be given.
