What does a Quality Assurance Technician role look like?
We have an opportunity to join a Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) team, and will report directly to the SHEQ Manager.
In this role you will:
- Collecting completed job cards and samples from the factory
- Conducting daily checks on each machine, noting any quality issues and communicating this to the operators, Production Managers and Quality Manager
- Managing the full testing schedule for site, tests include (but not limited to): dimensions, Tear, Gauge, puncture, UV, Haze, Reflectivity, Opacity, shrink, embossing, heat seal curves and rub tests.
- Conducting regular tests to ensure specifications are met and raising any 'out of spec' polythene film or concerns to the Quality Manager
- Preparing Certificates of Analysis for specific products
- Manage customer and complaint samples
- Prepare samples for testing and send to customers
- Test new trials before they are released
- Maintaining 5S standards in the lab

Applicants should possess excellent communication, organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. You should have the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively across all levels.
