Programme Leader – Spanish (0.4 FTE)

Salary: £22,034 - £35,456 per annum, pro rata - plus excellent benefits

Hours: 14.8 hours per week, 0.4FTE

Contract: Permanent, commencing January 2021

Location: Exeter

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join Exeter College to teach A Level/IB Spanish. Exeter College is an Ofsted outstanding college and consistently rated in the top 10 FE Colleges in the UK by NICDEX. Taught within the successful Faculty of English, Languages and International Baccalaureate, Spanish currently has over 100 learners studying the subject at either A L or as part of the International Baccalaureate.

Exeter College is seeking to recruit an exceptional teacher who will who will support the faculty in their aspiration to deliver inspirational teaching and putting the learners at the centre of all that they do to enable them to make outstanding progress and achieve their aspirational goals. The successful candidate will join a small team of subject specialists and be a part of the wider MFL team, providing the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and share best practice.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Modern Foreign Languages in Further Education and be keen to support the development of the A level and IB curriculum. You will be expected to teach across a range of levels supporting learners of all abilities to achieve their full potential. In addition to teaching, you will be expected to offer pastoral support as a tutor.

The current working days for this post (for the current academic year) are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
