Position - Health and Safety Manager - Bracknell
Location - National role - Based Berkshire
Sector - Service - Retail/Hospitality/Leisure
Salary - Up to GBP50,000 basic, car and benefits
An industry-leading organisation is looking to find a new Health and Safety Manager.
Key duties of the role
To be responsible for all health and safety compliance and training across multiple sites within the organisation. Ensure all SHE work is carried out to follow legislation and compliance. Raise competency through training and coaching of all staff.
The responsibilities of the successful Health and Safety Manager are:
Formulate policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments.
Train all employees in your health and safety procedures.
Conduct frequent safety inspections and checks.
Develop a correct procedure for reporting accidents.
Respond to any safety complaints and concerns raised by employees.
Take responsibility for first aid procedures.
Manage emergency procedures
Lead by example.What we're looking for in the person:
Conduct yourself professionally at all times.
Team player, to contribute to a positive and healthy team.
Bring drive, enthusiasm and self-motivation with you each day.
Ability to communicate effectively - verbally and in writing.
Keen eye for detail, computer literate, good planning and organising abilities.
Maintain confidentiality in matters involving safety investigations.
Have the ability to work independently and manage own time as well as working as part of a team.
Passionate about health and safety/food safety Qualification
Essential - Health & Safety qualification - NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent - preferably degree or Tech IOSH
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role either in retail or hospitality
