Description
As the Management Accountant reporting into the Chief Accountant & Head of Finance you will be responsible for:
Assist the Chief Accountant and Head of Finance in producing company and group management accounts ensuring a timely and disciplined month end reporting routine
Maintain and report on property redevelopment project costs
Assist with the Group VAT return
Bank reconciliations
Inter-company group reconciliations
Balance sheet and control account reconciliations
Monthly accruals and prepayments
Assist with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns
Quarterly utility recharge invoices
Work closely with and support the accounting team, assisting with processing day to day activities across the group where necessary, including payroll
Assist in preparing for the group annual audit
Assist in ensuring all legislative responsibilities are met
Any other adhoc duties arisingProfile
Experience in a similar role
Candidates studying for an accountancy qualification or qualified by experience are both fine
Strong Excel
Sage Line 50 desirable but not essential
Accurate
Organised
Ownership & initiative
Proactive & positive attitude
