Role Profile
I am currently recruiting a Buyer role for a key client of mine who are a successful and established business based in the Leeds area.
This is an excellent for an enthusiastic Buyer who is wanting to be involved within the Supply Chain. This is a fantastic opportunity to join this manufacturing business as they have been working throughout lock down and there are great opportunities for progression and development within the business for the right individual and some great opportunities to make an impact to the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Demonstrating some Procurement knowledge through previous experience in this environment with negotiation or stock control
Working closely with suppliers while developing internal and external supplier relationships
Managing stock and inventory ensuring OTIF
Optimise supplier performance throughout
Being a key point of contact for all Purchasing
Communicating efficiently with suppliers and customers
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Experience in a procurement or a Supply Chain role
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven track record of negotiating contractual terms, tendering and contract management
Proven stakeholder management skills and excellent communication / interpersonal skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Strong commercial acumen
